About Me
Ever since I was young, I loved reading. It was my way to explore new worlds and ways of being. In most stories, there is a point where the character feels stuck. During those times, they often lean on others for support to move through the challenge and continue their story.
Everyone can feel stuck from time to time and needs some support to move forward in their own life. I’ve spent a decade walking with folks to help them move forward. I’ve supported folks through life transitions like moving, ending a relationship, and entering or exiting school. I was trained as a generalist mental health clinician, so I have experience working with many presenting concerns. I have specialized training in EMDR and CPT to support individuals who have experienced trauma, whether from a single event or lifelong difficulties. I held trauma-focused jobs, including being a hospital advocate who supports individuals completing Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) kits. I’m passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community and identify as bisexual myself. I enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals and I have neurodivergent loved ones. I have gained training to support neurodivergent clients in a world that is built for neurotypical individuals.
In therapy, trust and choice are essential- and I continually aim to cultivate both. Clients often describe my style as gentle and attuned. I honor your pace while keeping focused on your goals. I see my role as offering curiosity and space for exploration as we move together toward healing. In session, we will gather tailored tools to support you throughout your life. I use a person-centered approach and an intersectional feminist theory lens, which means I consider your unique cultural background, as well as any experiences of oppression or marginalization you may face. I often incorporate mindfulness into our sessions and make space to celebrate your strengths and the wins—big or small—along the way.
You know your brain and experience best, and I’m here to support you in understanding your emotions, your mind, and yourself. That kind of understanding can build self-trust and foster a deeper sense of empowerment.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my dog and cat, hiking, crocheting, riding my bike, practicing yoga, or reading a good book.
It is important to find a therapist you can connect with. Please feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we are a good fit. I’m looking forward to knowing you!
